Decimal Life

Terms of Service

Last updated 9 August 2026

Decimal Life is in private beta. That means it is genuinely useful and genuinely unfinished at the same time. These terms say what you can expect from us, what we expect from you, and what the software is explicitly not qualified to do.

1. Agreement

By creating an account or using Decimal Life you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Our handling of your data is covered separately in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

2. Beta software

Access is by invitation. During the beta, features may change or be withdrawn, service may be interrupted, and defects are expected. We may modify or discontinue any part of the service. We will give reasonable notice before a change that would lose your data, and the export tool in the Trust Center is available throughout.

3. Your account

You are responsible for activity under your account and for the security of the Google account you sign in with. You must be at least 18. Tell us promptly at support@decimallife.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

4. Your content is yours

You keep all rights to the content you create and the data you connect. You grant us only the permission needed to run the service for you: to store, process, transmit and display that content, including sending the relevant parts to the inference provider that generates Deci’s replies. That permission ends when you delete the content or close your account.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • connect an account or data you are not authorised to access;
  • use the service to break the law, infringe someone’s rights, or store material you have no right to hold;
  • probe, scrape, overload or reverse engineer the service, or circumvent its rate limits and access controls;
  • resell or redistribute access to the service.

6. Not professional advice

Decimal Life is not a doctor, a financial adviser, a lawyer or an accountant, and nothing it produces is professional advice.

Health features summarise data you have connected. They do not diagnose, treat or monitor any medical condition, and they are not a medical device. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something the app showed you, and if you think you may have a medical emergency, contact emergency services.

Finance features organise information you enter or import. They are not investment, tax or legal advice, and no figure in the app should be relied on for a financial decision without checking it against the underlying source.

7. AI output

Deci is generated by a language model. It can be wrong, incomplete or confidently mistaken, including about your own data. Verify anything that matters before you act on it.

8. Third-party services

When you connect Google, Apple, GitHub or Linear, your use of those services remains governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for their availability, and a change on their side may break a feature here.

9. Availability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. We offer no uptime guarantee during the beta.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

11. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if these terms are breached, if required by law, or if continuing would put the service or its users at risk. You can export your data before you leave, and we will give you a reasonable opportunity to do so unless the law prevents it.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms and will revise the date at the top. If a change is material we will notify you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the change.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have exclusive jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections available to you where you live.
